Aisling Bea

Aisling is a well-known Irish comedian who has been around for a long time. She was born in Kildare, Ireland, on 16th March 1984. Bea has appeared on QI alongside Stephen Fry. Aisling Cliodhnadh O'Sullivan (born 16 March 1984) is better known by her stage name Aisling Bea is a popular Irish actress writer and comedian. Bea was first seen as part of the cast on Irish or British TV shows in 2009, made her debut as an stand-up comic in 2011. In 2012, she was frequently being featured on sketch comedy programs as well as sitcoms. When she was awarded an award at Edinburgh Comedy Awards in 2011, Edinburgh Comedy Awards in 2011 and then was a frequent guest on a variety of panels, and is currently a regular. She was a captain of the 8 Out of 10 Cats team from 2016-2017 and is a regular contestant in its spinoff show, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. Her parents are Brian O'Sullivan and Helen O'Sullivan. Sinead, her older sister was born. The only female winner of So You Think You're Funny in the year 2012. Bea was given to her to commemorate her father's passing. Aisling Claiodhnadhs Sullivan was born on the 16th of March, 1984 in Kildare, County Kildare. Bea's father Brian was an equine vet, who was killed after Bea turned three, was a victim of self-harm. The news of his death only at 13 years old. In 2017, Bea composed an essay for The Guardian about the suicide of her father's family and she adopted the stage name Bea in remembrance of him. Bea and her younger sister Sinead were raised by their mother Helen (nee Moloney) who was a secondary school teacher and jockey trainer, as well as a professional jockey for a time. Her family were obsessed with racing meetings and horses. Bea began her career as tourist guides at the Irish National Stud. But she soon realized that her passion was for doing and not racing.
