Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, a musician's daughter from Mexico, was born to a music-loving family. She spent most of her early years listening to classic music and boleros of the past, ranchero traditional or romantic music along with old classical pieces. Ana is a fan of Tangos. Additionally, she enjoys operas, and every form of drama. Following her singing lessons with mom, she started more serious training in vocals at age 16 under the tutelage by renowned Mexican tenor FlavioBecerra. She continued her musical studies at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterward in the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. While a young student and professional, she sang with numerous chamber ensembles and opera choruses throughout Guadalajara and Mexico City. She sang in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to Southern California. She sings as a soloist Latin American music for private occasions and is a part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. Her love and passion for art, music, and performing has her involved in many local projects as a teacher and performer. Ana was also a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is now a teacher in the Performance Loft. Ana is privileged to be able to be able to share her love for traditional Latin American music. She hopes that this will inspire younger generations to preserve the traditions.
